She has served in local, state, and national music education leadership roles and has published papers on motivation and social justice in a variety of academic journals and books. Tawnya D. Smith, Boston University, USA

Tawnya D. Smith is Assistant Professor of Music Education at Boston University. As a researcher and educator, she is interested in transforming educational spaces by applying therapeutic knowledge to create safe and healthy learning environments.
