The ISME Commission on Music in Special Education, Music Therapy and Music Medicine was held on 17-18 July 2014, as part of the pre-conference commission seminars of the 31^st ISME World Conference “Listening to the Musical Diversity of the World”. This Commission seminar was “The Diversity of World Music: Engaging Individuals with Special Needs” and took place at the Parana Faculty of Arts, Federal university of Parana, Curitiba, Brazil.
